In the village panchayat of Dhanpura in Haridwar, work is underway under the Jal Jeevan Mission to install a water pipeline. However, the work is not being carried out according to the standards set by the Department of Drinking Water and Sanitation (DDWS). The contractor is bringing pipes and joints from the market for just ₹40 per point and joint.

The employees hired by the contractor claim that they have not yet received all the required materials from the relevant department. Therefore, the contractor is using pipes and joints purchased from the market to complete the project under the Jal Jeevan Mission. Despite this, no inspection has been conducted by the concerned department in the village panchayat of Dhanpura. If the work is not done according to the DDWS standards, the Jal Jeevan Mission pipeline may face difficulties in the future, and rural residents may have to face significant challenges.
